Calcium carbonate is often used as a calcium supplement,
in chewing gum, some crackers, some cereals. It is also
used as a neutralizer, pH adjuster, a bleaching agent
in the cosmetic industry.
Calcium carbonate is white,odorless and tasteless,
non-toxic. The one that Âm-arôme offers,meets the
requirements of the Food Chemicals Codex for the
grinded stones and, it is Kosher certified .
Calcium carbonate is also one of the basic ingredients
for the manufacture of home made toothpaste.
It is a mild abrasive, thickening and opacity.
Uses:
toothpaste
soap(can help whiten soap)
Caution: Not very soluble in water, insoluble in vegetable oil.
Dosage: according to the desired texture and presentation
For a toothpaste: 15-20% (indicative)
Mix all dry ingredients before adding liquid.
