Also known as hydrolates, hydrosols, floral waters but, aromatic hydrolats doesn’t come just from flowers; they may come from roots, leaves, berries, bark, wood and needles. Aromatic hydrolat is left over after the process of extracting an essential oil by water or steam distillation. Aromatic hydrolat contains small quantities of essential oil plus active principles. They are pure, free from alcohols, preservatives and emulsifying agents. Directions: The standard dilution rate for the internal use of hydrolates: 30 milimiters (2 tablespoons) of hydrosol diluted in 1 liter of water. They can be used undiluted without problems for most topical applications. Storage: Put them in cool storage as fast as possible.
